Sunlit gorges

Drifting through sunlit gorges watching fluffy goslings guarded by anxious Canadian parents! Then energetic opening and closing of locks. All worries we brought from home and work were forgotten in the haste to raise the boat in the lock. So much history along the canal - cotton mills no longer threatening satanic mills but transformed into luxury apartments or modern industries.
