Hello Susan
We had a grand, if occasionally challenging, time bringing Warwick back through Manchester to Sowerby Bridge, and the feeling of achievement is immense. And now we've completed all the Pennine Rings, apart from a little bit of the Ashton, which we think we'll cheat and walk along!
We had 2 days on the L&L when we didn't see another boat moving - luxury!
I've got some lovely atmospheric photos which I'll forward when I finally get them onto my computer. There is a tune called 'Le Canal en Octobre' and some of these really describe that feeling.
And we'll be back - we have a real love affair with the Pennine waterways.
